If you are reading this early enough in the day and have a few extra minutes to spare, this is a fun, quick project to do that I saw on Pinterest (as you know, our favorite inspirational website)!
What you need:
- Photo paper or card stock
- Lollipops or if against candy for some reason (some schools are), you can use pencils, glow sticks, etc.
Step 1: Grab your camera or iPhone, get unwilling child(ren) and bribe them into having their picture taken (I offered up the tootsie pop lollipop) and stand them in front of a colorful background. The key part of the picture is to have them stand with their hand outstretched like they are handing you a lollipop.
Step 2: Download picture to computer.
Step 3: I used pagemaker for this next step, but I am sure that you could do the same in Word. I started a new, blank document with the dimensions of 4″ x 6″. Dragged picture into frame and sized it to fit within the page dimensions. Inserted text box and placed it in the lower right hand corner of page. Type your Valentine message (I used Budmo Jiggler font that I got off of dafont.com).
Step 4: Print onto matte 4 x 6 photo paper or a thick card stock.
Step 5: Cut (with razor, knife or sharp side of scissors) a small line where you want to insert the lollipop. You will do two slits. Insert the lollipop into the top slit and then thread through to the second slit.
You are finished! Super cute and super easy!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
